OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS

It is presented to a student undertaking the Bachelor of Equine Studies at the Melbourne Polytechnic College (formerly Northern Melbourne Institute of Tafe (NMIT). Mary was much loved and enormously respected by her fellow members.  She was elected Treasurer of the Victorian Wakeful Club at its inaugural meeting on 27th August, 2001 and held that position until her passing in 2009.

In 2018 a monetary bursary was presented to a student of merit who was chosen by the Marcus Oldham staff.

The Victorian Wakeful Club is looking forward to the continuation of these scholarships and bursary to hep promote the further education of young women in the thoroughbred and racing industries. As a not for profit Club, these initiatives are fiananced through donations and the fundraising efforts of our club members. The Victorian Wakeful Club hopes to be able to provide further support within the industry in the near future.
